Yah, had the SO play it for one of his classes, and the students thought it was awesome. It really does show why there's a value in critiquing, and not just in getting critiques.
I don't know beans about writing, so I'm never really sure my comments are of any real use; but after watching this I realized that it's not my job to figure out how to write the story, just to say what I thought about it in as clear and practical a manner as possible………………………………….. …and hopefully in a relatively prompt timeframe, too…
Heh, yeah, well, if I'd had this years ago, I would've linked to it regularly! But don't worry about the timeframe, it's not like posts (or stories) have expiration dates. It'll still be here when you're back around, and now you know what's helpful for a writer to know.
(Like I always say, you don't have to be a chef to know the pie is burnt; you don't have to guess why the pie is burnt, either, just that it's burnt.)
