Hi!

I'm a random person who's planning on rec'ing your GW story All of Me over at fancake, and while I was poking around for links to the fic, I discovered that you have a DW! :D

Before I post the rec (which just has to be sometime before the 15th of September), I was wondering if you had any other places it was archived besides GWAddiction. I can't find it on your DW, is it here but I'm not seeing it? :)

Anyhow, just letting you know that I'm going to rec it, in case you have any other archives that you want me to include. Also, I'm just totally chuffed to find my authors of some of my old favorite fanfic on DW. :D

Heh. I have stuff from the FMA fandom, over on scimitarsmile.com, and... now that I think of it, I think there's some stuff on this journal that never got put on GW (it was written after GW stopped updating). Try http://kaigou.dreamwidth.org/tag/half-asleep+at+the+fandom+wheel which is for all things fandom (not just fanfiction), so you may have to wade, but there should be some stuff in there that's not on GW.

Out of curiosity, do you have any plans on making/getting an AO3 account (I think I have invites to it)? I was just wondering because it seems that you've written in a fair number of fandoms, and it's a really good pan-fandom archive. :)

AO3 is one of those things where I kind of recoil in horror. Mostly b/c I had to upgrade Scimitar from static to fully database-driven, and the experience left me more than a bit burned and definitely traumatized. It's not that I have anything against AO3, mind you. It's just that I've done enough story-conversion for one lifetime! So, maybe someday...

(also, I forget my manners -- sorry, long day! -- thank you for the rec! I'm very flattered. All of Me remains one of my favorite stories I've ever written, maybe because it feels like it stands up well, somehow. Or maybe it's just that I always liked Relena, and wanted something that hinted at how much the story's world would've lost without her.)

I totally understand about the story conversion thing! I recently had to hand-format only a few thousand words of fic for posting, and I wanted to rend my eyes out.

I just wanted to drop you a link to something really cool that I found that could help save a lot of time when formatting fic into HTML. Basically, it allows you to search by format in a word or Open Office file, and then place all the code around it similar to find and replace. You might find it useful for any future fic that you work on/write! :D

And before I dash, I totally agree with you about Relena. She's definitely an entire world of possibility for the GW canon, and I think your story did a great job of showing what it would mean - and the possibilities it would close off - to lose her.
