Ooh, that was quick. I thought I'd wait and read the whole chapter when it was posted, but I caved after about thirty seconds. I'm weak. I'm going to go reread the rest now.
I've written fight scenes fast before, but I've learned by experience that if you do - and then post right away - you almost always end up seeing something you missed. Well, I do...even if it's just something like "the guy punched" - and then there's no reaction on the part of the character. Or doing math to realize five guys walked up, but Alphonse decked only three - where are the other two and why does my math suck sometimes?
Revising this evening and adding last thousand words. Don't know if I'll post tonight - major headache after quarterly Ikea Blitz and day o' painting...but I'll do what I can. ;D
I just love the way you folks are worried about Becky. Oh, and Ed. Right. Only the main freakin' character...but we're all writers here. Let's not fool ourselves; we abuse Ed more than just about any other character.
Well, hrm. Actually, in this story I have abused Roy a good deal more, at least on a physical level. And Alphonse isn't exactly scot-free. Well, there's only one thing to do. Beat the crap out of Ed in the next 3K words!
Haha! Those poor boys! ^_^;;; Well, hopefully you'll write a happy ending! XD;; ...and, um, the RoyxEd fangirl inside me is dying to know if you still plan to end it with them together or not. o.o;;; Gomen! ...but even if you don't I'd still read it, 'cause this story rocks! ♥
I had originally planned a third part, tackling such a relationship (now that they're finally working together, to some extent). But I don't know if I will, though the story will leave that open. Either way, I can definitely assure you that they'll end up as very good friends. ;D
I guess that's all I can ask for. ^__^ I'll be happy that they end up as really good friends. But you *know* you want to write a third part. ^_~ HAHA! Yah yah, I'll shut up now. XD;;;
LOL Suuure you are. Al does rock. I just worry less about Ed than Becky because Ed has cool alchemy skills. ^^ And if Al didn't save them, he has a good chance of saving himself, LOL (Which he might have to, seeing as Al's ankle's in bad shape. ^^
