Considering how much he eats, either he's got two hollow legs, or he's just storing the food where normal cats would have bones. And seeing the way he sleeps, the lack of bones might explain a lot.

Also, I am 99% done on the mother of all lazy susans.

I had another shot that showed his legs better, but I decided on this one because of the little smile that kittens get when they're catnapping with full tummies.

He's the first cat I've had in a long time who's unrepetent about EVERYTHING. You pick him up to chastise him for doing something, and he immediately starts purring loudly. Hell, he'll head-rub with Balto and fire up the loud purr. Which is particularly funny considering his actual meow sounds something like a broken gearshaft from about a block away... just the slightest teeny little 'creak' sound. But given how noisy Baka can be when demanding GRAVY RIGHT NOW, Zaizai's been trying very hard to do the same... so you get a very quiet drawn-out creak.

And if you laugh at him, he starts purring again. Go figure.

That's adorable. Sophie and Whisper both have little voices and big purrs. It's fun to get them both rumbling at once.

He's remarkably good-natured. Absolutely irrepressible, really. Also, hasn't once tried to get out through the dog door, which means he's also an indoor cat... which means CP doesn't spend his time worrying, the way he has all along, and the way I have since we lost Fiero.

And the mother of all lazy susans is brilliant! Want one ... and we don't even have a corner cabinet to put it in...

That was days of planning and doing actual MATH stuff before I figured out the size that'd work without binding or catching. Plus the drawers can be pulled all the way out and brought up onto the counter, for easier digging through.

Corner cabinets are honestly the worst... if there'd been a way to do this kitchen without them, I would've, but failing that, I'm pretty proud of this solution.

I'm pretty freaking impressed with myself, too, actually. Now all I have to do is shellac it, and I'll actually have FINISHED something. That alone is something to write home about!

Trust me, doing the math for it involved algebraic torture. Somewhere there was probably a trigonometry teacher laughing gleefully at sensing my frustration.
