We're getting there very quickly... last night we even had competing powers of cute being used on us. Bakabaka at the top level of the tree, rolling around and looking adorable, and Zaizai on the lower level, practically falling off the smaller platform in his attempts to kill a paperball. Total cute overload.
Meanwhile, the Monster gives little more than an ear flick at the entire proceedings. She doesn't do cute.
He's also the pushiest cat I've ever had. He wants affection and he wants it ALL THE TIME. He's the first cat I've ever had that will leap up onto the back of your chair and BODYSLAM you between the shoulderblades if he doesn't think you're giving him enough love. Right now, this is cute, but if he gets as big as he looks like he might get (short legs and all, those are still some big paws), this could get to be a problem.
Fortunately, he's also incredibly good-natured and sweet... he's just very determined to get as much love as possible.
*snicker* Sounds almost like my Honey. Fortunately for me she didn't grow that much - unlike her sister, who is a lot bigger and heavier. They are both pushy attention seekers, though.
Even when he's eating, he's trying to cuddle. Keeps wriggling up closer to the other cats. Baka's taken to bodyslamming Zaizai outright, just to get the kitten from trying to shove his face in the same bowl as Baka.
What's not immediately apparent is that in this pic he is busily giving one of his toys, a stuffed mousie, What For. After which he will carry it around in his mouth for a while, before chasing it under the furniture and back again. Unless he gets distracted by one of his back feet, which will also have to be Told Off.
Believe me, this little guy is absolutely determined to make friends with EVERYTHING. Including the cabinet, the lower rungs of the chairs, the dog bed, and even the kitchen drawers currently awaiting re-insertion. This afternoon he apparently decided he'd had enough of bugging the humans, and I found him doing his level best to rub up against Balto. Who doesn't mind such things, except for when he looked down and promptly got a nosefull of busily rubbing cat-neck. Poor Balto. He loves him some kitties, but that was a bit more love than I think he was expecting.
Triple the Cute when he gets up in your lap and wriggles between arm & body, to make sure he's as CLOSE AS POSSIBLE. And then balances across your lap, head folded back in two, to make himself as accessible as possible to pettings...
...and then promptly falls right off your lap, off the sofa, and on the floor.

He's like a one-boy falling machine, honestly.
