This has been driving the dogs crazy for the past half-hour. This sound out in the woods behind the house, over and over and over. Only a slight pause between, and then again. Tis November, and the time for the juveniles to be leaving their parents and finding mates of their own. Where, I don't know, because it's not like they possibly have territory anywhere near what they really need, but still. It's a sound I like hearing.

It's also one of the reasons I love living here.

Date: 5 Nov 2009 01:15 am (UTC)Second, that is incredibly sweet of you, and just saying it makes my day (especially after a day of getting to play my share of Bad Cop, which I may be good at but still isn't much fun).
Sometimes I wish I could put a tip jar at the end of some of the posts I've done, if they're liked by so many, y'know? And then I think, omg, my grandmother would rise up from her grave and chide me for it. Other people have consciences; I have a grandmother-instilled pride. Wah.
