  1. At some point in the next few days, I'm going to post that review of Ergo Proxy. Amazing series. I should've watched it sooner...

  2. There's something vaguely amusing about discovering that you've been defriended by a role. Like, it's not really a person, it's a character, but it doesn't like you anyway! Timing, of course, is everything, knowing I dissed the RPG'er's participation and/or characterization. Especially given the absolute total lack of interaction I've ever actually had with the person-behind-the-character or even the character itself, I find it rather... well, I never was sure of the reciprocation in the first place, I suppose.

But -- this is only an observation, I repeat, this is only an observation. Had this been a real complaint, you would have been told where to tune in for further instructions, and this paragraph would have been followed by eighteen more, with at least three segues into characterization, oxygen mask design, and plotline analysis.

  3. Thanks to an unexpected (but thoughtful) set of reviews, I spent an hour or so skimming much of my stuff on GWA, and realized I never sent Tyr the 3/4/5 short I wrote for Windsor. I am a bad, bad archivee. In the meantime, I realized, these stories are left unfinished -- and by that, I mean, don't even have summaries of how I'd planned them to end:

    • Burn
    • Howl
    • Koji Ma Oshi
    • Tetractys
    • When We Were Young

...assuming that last one even really has anything resembling a plot line. Not sure it does. Howl can probably stay right as it is; the only remaining plot in that story is How They Get Out, really. Burn, well, you all know how that ends. Tetractys... I think I have a summary draft around here, somewhere, or on a disk. I suppose I should send that to Tyr, as well.

I haven't forgotten about KmO, honest. In fact, I had this crazy idea that if I did make it to Ycon this year, and someone in particular also made it, that I could deliver the final chapter (or three) as a surprise. But, the chances are slim that I'll make Ycon (more like, none, really), so perhaps I shall use that as excuse to hold off on completing KmO until next year.

  4. Yes, as a matter of fact, I am always pleased when I can find suitable rationalization for procrastination, why do you ask?

Feel free to find a flight, but I'm about 90% certain I won't be at Ycon this year. WFC is in Saratoga the following weekend, and there's no way I could do both.

Of course, this is ignoring that I've yet to get off my duff and register for WFC, or get a flight, or a hotel room... sigh.

But if you did happen to make it to the states at some point...

whois
