Well, there is that: after I posted this and was proofing it, I realized -- who could possibly tell if the colors are totally whacked? I mean, the entire series is like Peter Max on acid in a blender with old pop-art prints from the 60's.
Now, there are one or two icons where it's particularly lurid (I think), but hey, maybe someone likes that, so I figured I'd leave it.
Heh, I'm very proud of that one -- man, it was a hassle to do, too. Kept looking strange (and still not entirely pleased with it), but at least I got it to 40K. Wasn't sure I'd ever manage that, and it'd end up being one of those "well, if only" icons.
On the plus side, these things keep me out of trouble. Mostly.
Of all the things, that particular segment is four unmitigated frames -- one, two, three, four, that is, with no segue frames. (Rather odd.) So I did what I could, and if it's not what you had in mind, let me know (+ alternate in case the segment right after was what you meant.)
I snagged a bunch and then I forgot the numbers. D: But mostly of mask-demon, I rather loved that guy. Especially with the sad mask! AH SOMEHOW HE WAS SO ADORABLE.
Thanks for these. They are gorgeous. I've taken icon#12, icon #19 and icon #33. Since you were interested in what appealled, I chose those three because of the angles and the colouring.
Sorry, bad horror movie reference, but it's late and I'm braindead. Glad you like the icons, will probably be doing at least two or three more batches as I finish processing the series. Man, it'd be so much easier to get a handle on if every frame weren't crammed full of stuff...
Lame references go hand in hand with horror movies lol.
I may have unintentionally misled you with numbering. Your icons show two different numbers but the ones I chose had the numbers #15, #22 below them and one from the last set which had no number but would have been #33. And if you still think the angles are wrong well, I don't care coz I loved them.
Text? Very cool! What's the text say? (you can tell that's not really my forte unless I'm snarking.)
Glad you liked -- and I have some shots of a less-than-happy (okay, PISSED) kusuri-uri. I can post 'em for you to snag, or would you rather just snag the iconified versions?
It's just a simple "Huh?" I figured since I kinda got that opinion of that expression and if I just added some text.... voila! Now people just glancing (myself included) think it's a huh expression. :'D Im pretty lame at adding text as well.
Oooo, yeah Im looking for the like extreme pissed looking ones so that sounds like just what Im looking for. <3 And whichever one is easier for you. Either way it's a big help. ^^
nothing fancy, and some of them are (sadly) from the avi, not mkv, so it takes judicious cropping to get around subtitles. fortunately I do have the dvd for the bakeneko/pilot arc, so those don't have subtitles. some may be slightly modified since I ran a bunch through auto-processing to ready them for web use (as cleaned image), so if there's one you really want but it's not working for you, let me know which one & I'll snag you a clean unprocessed copy of just that image.

Date: 11 Dec 2008 10:34 am (UTC)Also, Noppera-bō, number 3. I added some text to it. o3o
Now I just need to find or make an icon that passes as an angry looking kusuriuri and I'll be good. :D
As for exact ones, from the first set, 20, 34. From the second, 3, 25, and 35.
