I'm truly ashamed but I have to ask: how do I save + up moving gif icons back to LJ correctly? When I do the usual "save as" the texts don't appear anymore >.
well, first (not to insult you but just to make sure, because it's the sort of mistake I make all the time): are you saving as a .gif?
Okay, then. Are you saying the .gif is broken after you save but before you upload? ...because in some folder previews (like when you're looking at the file on your harddrive), the .gif doesn't change. It'll often show only a single frame.
If you're saving, uploading, and then finding it's only a single frame... whew, I don't know. Guess the question then is are you on PC or Mac? If it's a Mac, I could walk you through steps, but I don't work on PCs enough to know it off the top of my head.
