I don't think switching domain names is going to help but I think I might
know what it is - comments.dreamwidth.org might be causing the problem
which would explain why you get the password resets but not the comments?
(the reply to address has changed to allow us to reply to comments via
email and that might be where the problem is coming in.)

could you see what happens if you whitelist both
dreamwidth.org and comments.dreamwidth.org domains?
(additionally it's also possible to set up a rule in gmail so that
everything from dreamwidth is automatically forwarded to your personal
address.
