Beautifully written, and so, so true. And I would add that while the daughter's second grade teacher and maybe her college professors know something about what she's dealing with as a person with ADD/ADHD, chances are exceptionally good that, however much they might want to, the teachers in the vocational programs so many kids who are *bad* at school gravitate towards often don't, and nor do the grad students teaching the study sections at big universities. And even if they know, they may simply not have time or institutional support for figuring out how to make things work a luttle better.

And as you say, her boss & workers almost certainly won't...
