Yeah, I guessed that the implication I was reading there was not intended on your part, but I couldn't figure out what you were getting at. I just found it kind of confusing. I really appreciate the clarification. And yes I agree, the terminology is very confusing in and of itself, and I'm not sure what's behind the rational of where the "mental illness" line gets drawn.
I didn't get the implication that meds are the one true treatment from your post. The problem you're addressing isn't that someone isn't getting medication. It's a lot broader than that.
And yes, I agree that modern medical treatment for this kind of stuff is imperfect at best, but medication is one of many ways for people to address these very real problems and try to improve their lives.
