*nod nod* This is a good example of what I study-- the implicit biases people carry that come out in equally implicit actions and behaviors. What's more, the flight attendant most likely doesn't believe that s/he is racist, or even consciously condone racist beliefs, but odds are s/he's been exposed to enough racist beliefs to the point that they've become his/her default, and it shows.
