Oh! I see your edit and I see what you’re trying to do, now. I cannot agree more with how frustrating the pressures surrounding gender are; and while I understand that role is very serious for some people, granted my choice I’d prefer to play – and given the current social attitudes, it’s very hard to do so.
Also, a million times "yes" to the cake-baking analogy and the need for a thorough raking-over of our current modes of thought and the language we use in talking about sex, gender, and their meeting point (the sexus? eheh). In my experience, even where some attempt has been made towards a critical examination of the issue, it’s still like cooking in someone else’s kitchen.
