I do agree that there's a strong fanfictional element to the dynamic between Temeraire and Laurence. Though I think it reminds me of her fic for other series, like Smallville, rather than her fic for M&C...in any case, heh, sorry, I felt the overwhelming urge to comment because I was boggling over your comparison and wondering how you got to it. ^^;
