Somehow I always think of Bertie Wooster as full-fleshed. It's probably a subconscious impression of the name, same as how "Bernie Rhodenbarr" sounds to me like the name of a short round guy, and I was quite surprised when the author mentioned that Bernie was supposed to be a tall, thin, grasshopper-in-human-form type.
