In regard to the scattered objects (with Kusuri-uri's first mess):
1) looks, to me, like possibly a statue of Ganesha (the famous Hindu elephant-headed god); example image here (http://www.theholidayspot.com/ganesh_utsav/). (Of note, this would actually be one of *several* times elephant imagery shows up in the series, including "Nopperabou" and "Nue".)
Of particular note, Ganesha is one of those gods that were essentially incorporated into Buddhism (as Buddhas and bodhisattvas), and Ganesha imagery would be yet another reference to Tibetan Buddhism (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ganesha_outside_Indian_Hinduism); Ganesha also, of particular note here, also shows up in Shingon Buddhism (as part of its core practices, in fact). Sho-ten (the Japonised version of Ganesha), of note, is also considered a particular patron of merchants.
7) looks to me to be, quite frankly, a marital aid. :3
8) may well be a puzzle box (so the jack-in-the-box reference isn't all that off). Of particular note here are appearances of at least three of the Guardians of the Directions (the tiger of the west, the phoenix of the south, and the tortoise of the north).
9) indeed would be a ritual vessel for incense burning. :3
10), to me, looks like it *could* be a flute of some sort.
With the second image:
1) is actually not so much a bento box as...general food/stuff box (I've seen such things in museums before, same place I saw the old Chinese ritual incense burners--there's actually a nice exhibit in the Art Institute of Chicago that focuses on this).
2) reminds me again of Zhou Era-esque Chinese stuff (like the incense burner). (Yes, practically all the Chinesey stuff actually looks, for the love of God, like Eastern Zhou and Western Zhou stuffle.
In the third mess with OMG PHALLIC TURTLES:
As to the winged creature, it *almost* but not quite looks like a kirin--but it *does* look like some representations of Korean haetae. Unfortunately, I can't remember the exact Chinese winged-horned-dog-thing in question. (Damn you, cold medicine)
