Just a series of collected notes-to-myself that I’d made while replying to the replies on my original post(s). I knew they were around here somewhere -- archived onto a disk when I converted to the new computer -- and la, found them. Rather than go through and completely rewrite and rearrange, just throwing them together and posting. May edit later.
