WOW. Very intricate review. I love it. I totally agree that Yoo Hajin really kicks the stereotype that you often see in Japanese mangas, where semes are all-powerful and ukes are girly and weak [for some reason, I get somewhat frustrated with when I read of a pairing like this, I mean..... it's like a het couple, might as well just read shoujo mangas]. In TC, no way is Ewon like typical ukes, he's strong, independent, hard-headed, and a fighter.
When I was reading the latest chapter, I was expecting [like any yaoi mangas] for Ewon to cry or scream at Mookyul for continuing his "relationship" with the chairman. He totally surprised he by standing his ground, hard-faced, not shedding a tear. He fought Mookyul, said everything he wanted, walked outta there. Mookyul, on the other hand, can only use violence to deal with the situation, and at the end, doesn't know what to do but stood there because, obviously, violence didn't work on Ewon. I was.... AMAZED with Ewon. Very nice character development.
We need more of these stories around.
Also, Ewon had been depending on himself since Lord-knows-when, he's too wrapped up himself to consider another person, afraid of getting hurt [like you have said "what's more frightening than risking everything on one person."] I think he risked that with Mookyul but... at the end, he faced the consequences that he was avoiding and will probably build a new emotional wall around himself. Unless Mookyul grow some balls and do something about it :P
I just stated everything you said but I needed to get this off my chest. The latest chapter was such a bad blow ;_;
