Looks like perhaps I should listen to my sister (below) and put this puppy up on the unwiki, whatever it's called. I mean, there are disorders coming out of the woodwork! Like daisies!
We've got the "recycling" disorder of cutting and pasting paragraphs to entire sections from old works to new (and come on, there's poaching and then there's poaching), and the new-author-entitlement disorder, and the variant, the established-author-entitlement disorder, there's the one in which a specific critic is hounded (of which Crichton's is the class in which the critic's castigation takes a specifically sexual turn)...
...and what gets me is that, to my utter amusement, I can see almost every single one of these also occuring in fanficdoms, if on a more minor status (in terms of the audience size). Fanficcers truly are mini-writers, down to mimicking professional writer disorders. Amazing!
