I totally agree. I mean, I had early beta-readers for my first piece, and it still has those who adore Creek. But the beta-readers didn't really push; they were happy with it as it was. But I wasn't, and I look at what I'm writing now in Sunrise versus what I wrote in Creek... I really think having an environment where you don't feel censored is majorly important, because it takes a lot of guts to write some of this stuff. It feels so personal, y'know, even if it's not us.
