A friend passed this along, and now it's all ya'lls turn. Watch. It's amazing, powerful, heart-breaking, and yet hopeful. It's been a long time since the internets have shown me something that really, truly, spoke like this spoken-word poem.

That was amazing and beautiful and very moving. Thanks so much for posting it. I ganked it immediately and posted it on my FB wall.

I admit to both victimizing and being victimized in the school bullying games. I'd like to think I didn't do anything horribly cruel, but who knows? It's been several decades and gods know my memory is not that good. I probably really hurt more than one person, and I really regret it.

I was bullied by my mother at home, so I just remember scoffing at my classmates' amateur attempts. Still, they made it clear I was freakish, and they were pretty mean about it. After the initial hurt, I just decided I didn't care. (But I did, of course. And it's still there, somewhere.)

A beautiful, haunting piece. Thanks again.

The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and all science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead: his eyes are closed. —Albert Einstein
